Brown Rice Royal

Recipe adapted by SFC Taveres Burton and SGT Kendra Knuckles - Army

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon light butter
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions, using chicken broth and water
  2. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat
  3. Sauté mushrooms and onions until tender
  4. Add cooked rice to skillet, gently fold to combine and serve
