German Schwenk Steaks

Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder roast, or pork shoulder steaks

Directions

  1. Use Kay's Copy-Cat recipe (below) as is, or tinker with the proportions of spices to come up with a flavor that's tailor made to please your taste buds.
  2. Generously coat a pork shoulder roast, or pork shoulder steaks with the spice mixture, and marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of two hours, or overnight.

Ingredients

  • Equal parts of:
  • Salt
  • Paprika
  • Garlic Powder
  • McCormick's Gourmet Collection Curry Powder (containing coriander, tumeric, fenugreek, cumin, and cayenne pepper)
  • ½ part caraway seed, coarsely ground in food processor
  • Add dried parsley, if desired
  • Add dried onions, if desired
    • Ingredients of mix the commissary uses:
      • Table Salt
      • Paprika
      • Coriander Seed
      • Tumeric
      • Fennugreek seed
      • Cumin seed
      • Fennel
      • Cayenne pepper
      • Monosodium glutamate
      • Onion powder
      • (All seeds are coarsely ground)
