Special Information

Picnic Parties - May starts off the season of everything BBQ and fresh produce. It also kicks off celebrations for Change of Commands, graduations, and retirements. We are here to help with your celebratory needs. To help plan your party there are a few things to make it a success; sunscreen, water, and bug repellant. No one wants to be dehydrated, burnt, or attacked by bugs. Another great success is fresh produce such as watermelon, corn on the cob, sliced onions, sliced tomatoes berries, and fruit and vegetable trays. Stop by the meat department and order steaks to your liking or ribs and walk down aisle 2 to select your favorite rub/marinate. The grocery department has changed up aisle 14, placing condiments, plastic ware, paper plates, and charcoal next to the buns for easy shopping. While you are on here go to the Deli/Bakery to order a cake, and meat and cheese tray or to get some premade sandwiches and pasta salad. Other items to consider while you shopping are bratwurst, hotdogs, hamburgers, and chicken wings.

Mother’s Day May 12th – Mother’s Day is just around the corner and the produce department has beautiful fresh cut flowers and plants. Another idea would be to go grocery shopping for her. Give her the day off and provide her with groceries at your own expense. She will be happy since she didn’t have to purchase them, spend the day shopping, cutting out the coupons, or putting all the groceries away. That is time and expenses that she could be enjoying doing other activities.

Ice cream Socials and Bonfires – Have a block party with your neighbors this season. It is a great way to greet your new neighbors and to catch up with old friends. It is also a way of saying thank you for helping to remove snow this past winter, or housesitting while you were away on vacation.
